Share / Embed Links Overview

Momento360 makes it easy to share and embed your 360-degree images and Collections using a single link. Whether you want to send a link to someone for viewing or embed it on a website, the same URL works for both.


This guide walks you through how to generate and customize your Share/Embed Link and use it effectively.

1. What is a Share/Embed Link?


A Share/Embed Link is a unique URL that allows others to view your 360 image or Collection. It can be used in two ways:

  1. Sharing: Simply copy and send the link. Recipients can view the 360 in their browser—no account required.
  2. Embedding: The same link can be inserted into a website as an iFrame, allowing users to interact with the 360 without leaving the page.

Example of a Share/Embed Link:

  • Send this link to someone via email or message → they can open and view it.
  • Use this link in an iFrame on a website → it displays the 360 interactively.

  1. Open the 360 image or Collection you want to share.
  2. Click the "Share or Embed a Link" button.
  3. Choose any optional settings:
    • Enable password protection (Paid accounts only).
    • Adjust starting view (if needed).
    • Enable linked plan drawings to display on open (if applicable).
    • Choose a Display Mode under Link options (see Display Mode below).
  4. On the Link tab, click COPY and paste the link wherever you want.

🔹 Tip: When a Share Link is generated, it captures the current camera view as the starting point when the link is opened. If no starting point is explicitly set, it defaults to the image's default starting orientation, which can be set separately in the Image Details panel.

Display Mode

Display Mode is a menu under Link options in the Share / Embed Link dialog. The mode you choose is added to the link on the Link tab and to the snippet on the Embed Code tab. A display mode changes how the 360 player looks for anyone who opens the link or the embed.

The menu lists these options, in this order:

  • Default shows the standard player and adds nothing to the link, so leaving the menu on Default does not change your link or snippet.
  • Matterport (mp) adds display-mode=mp to the link. The player hides its info and VR buttons. Fullscreen opens the 360 in a new browser tab instead of going fullscreen in the page.
  • MLS adds display-mode=mls to the link. The player hides the logo.
  • Clean adds display-mode=clean to the link. The player hides the caption, the info, fullscreen, VR and annotation list buttons, and a Collection's thumbnails and arrows. The plan drawings button is not affected. On Professional and Business plans, Clean also hides the logo.
  • Clean + Logo adds display-mode=clean_logo to the link. It hides the same things as Clean, but the logo stays.

If your plan does not include an option, the menu labels it with the plan that unlocks it: (Paid) means Personal Plus, Professional or Business, and (Pro) means Professional or Business. You can still choose that option, but it is not added to the link or to the Embed Code snippet. Instead, the menu turns grey and a message offers an upgrade to a Paid Account or a Pro Account. Choose Default or an option your plan includes to remove the message.

3. How to Embed a 360 on Your Website


Embed Code Tab

The Share / Embed Link dialog has two tabs: Link and Embed Code. The dialog opens on the Link tab. The tabs appear once the link is active. If the dialog shows a CREATE LINK button instead, click it first.


To embed your 360 or Collection with ready-made HTML:

  1. Open the Share / Embed Link dialog for your 360 or Collection, as described in section 2.
  2. Click the Embed Code tab.
  3. The box shows an <iframe>    HTML snippet for your link, ready to paste.
  4. To change the size of the embed, type new values in Width and Height. The snippet's width    and height    update as you type. The defaults are 900 (Width) and 450 (Height). The snippet never uses a width or height below 100, and if you leave a box empty, it uses the default.
  5. Click COPY to copy the snippet to your clipboard.
  6. Paste the snippet into the HTML of any web page, or into the HTML or embed block of your blog editor or CMS.


The snippet looks like this, with your own link in src :

🔹 Tip: The snippet always uses the same link as the Link tab, including the options you have chosen in the dialog. It updates as soon as you change one of the embed options below the tabs: Autoplay Annotations, Include Linked Plan(s) and Display Linked Plan on Load, plus Autoplay (Slideshow mode), Delay (seconds) and Reset Heading for a Collection. Changing Quality or Display Mode under Link options also updates the snippet. A Display Mode your plan does not include is left out of the snippet (see Display Mode in section 2). COPY copies the snippet as it is when you click it, so if you change an option afterwards, click COPY again and replace the code on your page.


Building the iFrame yourself

Since the Share and Embed Link are the same, embedding a 360 is easy:

  1. Copy your Share Link.
  2. Paste it into an iFrame like this:

  1. Adjust the height and width as needed.

🔹 Tip: You can customize how the embed looks and behaves using URL parameters.


📌 Best Practice: If you are embedding a lot of 360s on a single webpage, consider using Collections instead of individual embeds to optimize performance.

4. Customizing Share & Embed Links


You can control how your 360s display by appending parameters to the Share/Embed Link. More parameters are listed in Customizing the Embed/Share Player via URL.

🔹 Example Share/Embed Link with Custom Parameters:

This will:

  • Display the image in large (8K) resolution.
  • Display controls for linked Plan Drawings.
  • Automatically open the Plan Drawing viewer on load.
  • Set auto-rotation speed to -0.02 (slow right rotation).

5. Managing Logos & Watermarks in Embeds


By default, free and personal account users will see a Momento360 watermark on embedded and shared 360s. Pro and Business users can remove or customize the logo.


How to Remove or Change the Logo

  1. Upgrade to a Pro or Business account.
  2. Go to Account Settings > Customizations.
  3. Click Manage Logo and URL.
  4. Upload your own logo (shown at up to 100px x 50px at the Default logo size, or larger with the Medium and Large sizes) or remove branding entirely.

🔹 Tip: If you do not upload a custom logo after upgrading, the watermark will be removed, but no logo will appear in its place.
